Ali Geyer
Topic: Sleep progressions
Ali Geyer is a mama to a highly sensitive 4-year-old, a pediatric Occupational Therapist and a Certified Baby-Led Sleep and Well-Being Specialist. She has worked in special education for 10 years, and decided to get certified as a holistic infant sleep specialist after having her son and going down the long rabbit hole of infant sleep through the Internet. Her baby was colicky, would only sleep next to her on or her and was very wakeful. She thought something was wrong with him, or her because he couldn’t be put down ‘drowsy but awake’ or sleep on a ‘schedule’ like all the books said. There’s no way on Earth he would sleep in his own sleep space. She was appalled at the modern sleep training recommendations to not feed to sleep, to separate moms and babies to ‘teach’ independence and to ‘never let your baby sleep in your bed’. None of that felt aligned with her instincts and what her baby needed. The more she learned about what normal biological infant sleep actually looks like and was told to tune into her unique baby and follow her instincts when it came to sleep, the more she could breathe a sigh of relief and navigate her son’s sleep journey with confidence and joy. Ali is passionate about sharing this information about normal infant sleep and empowering parents to navigate this journey with connection, compassion and confidence.

As the Director of Macgregor Consulting, she leads a team of talented facilitators who provide training and consultation support to organisations working with vulnerable children and their parents. Work Best, which offers powerful counter arguments against the prevailing ‘cry it out’ approach to young children’s sleep.
Kindred Chiropractic
Topic: Nervous system
After her first adjustment at age 7, Dr. Hawkins felt the draw to become a chiropractor. She feels she has always innately embodied the chiropractic lifestyle, even before knowing it.
Upon graduating with a bachelor’s in Biology, Dr. Hawkins attended New York Chiropractic College in upstate NY. During her last month of chiropractic school, Dr. Hawkins could intern anywhere in the USA. She chose to spend that month in Hawaii, where her first female mentor further exposed her to the miracle of chiropractic for helping with fertility issues, comfortable pregnancy, and healthy infancy. She immediately tapped into the natural birthing community and had her doula and midwife selected for a good decade before having her own children.
For the next nearly 20 years, Dr. Hawkins spent her life on the island of Oahu, where she owned a successful sports and pregnancy practice in Honolulu and served in a group practice serving mamas, babies, and lots of military.
Dr. Hawkins is certified in the Webster technique and has attended countless post-grad trainings in pediatrics and pregnancy through the ICPA. Her greatest honor in practice is introducing families to chiropractic care by giving their babies their first adjustment and reintroducing care to those who have had a less than a great experience with chiropractic.
Dr. Hawkins was born and raised in Albany, NY, became an adult, wife, and mom in Hawaii, and is now here in Colorado to explore mountain life and experience seasons again!
As a mom of two home-birthed Hawaii babes, ages 7 and 5, Dr. Hawkins enjoys crafting, baking, and adventuring. She and her family intend to get back into skiing, ice skating, and road-tripping!
For the majority of her career, she has gone by her first name, so feel free to call her Dr. Micaire.
